Mandatory Fire Safety Inspection for the Second Half of 2025 

Dear Residents,

This notice is to inform you of the mandatory fire safety inspection for the dormitory during the Second Half of 2025, conducted in accordance with Article 22 of the Act on the Installation and Management of Firefighting Facilities.

Under this law, fire safety inspections must be carried out at least twice a year. Accordingly, a comprehensive inspection is conducted in the first half of the year, and a functional operation inspection is conducted in the second half.

Please find the details below and kindly cooperate during the inspection period.

1. Inspection Title

2. Inspection Items

• Operation status of fire alarm control panels and zone circuit tests by building

• Functional tests of automatic fire detection systems (detectors) in rooms, sections, and common areas

• Operation tests of floor alarm bells, emergency broadcasting systems, and sirens

• Visual inspection of evacuation and rescue equipment (exit signs, descender devices, etc.)

• Operation tests of indoor fire hydrants, sprinkler fire pumps, and gas fire extinguishing systems

• Operation tests of fire doors (automatic closing devices) and fire shutters linked to fire detection systems

• Full inspection of all firefighting facilities on campus, including the availability of fire extinguishers in each room

3. Inspection Period

January 16 (Fri), 2026 – January 28 (Wed), 2026

4. Inspection Schedule

Jan. 16 (Fri): Namje Hall (alarms and broadcasts will be activated during inspection)

Jan. 19 (Mon): Yongji Hall, Cafeteria Building (alarms and broadcasts will be activated)

Jan. 20 (Tue): Hwahong Hall, Gwanggyo Hall (alarms and broadcasts will be activated)

Jan. 21 (Wed): International Dormitory (alarms and broadcasts will be activated)

Jan. 22 (Thu): International Dormitory

Jan. 23 (Fri): International Dormitory

Jan. 26 (Mon): Ilshin Hall (alarms and broadcasts will be activated)

Jan. 27 (Tue): Ilshin Hall

Jan. 28 (Wed): Ilshin Hall

※ The schedule may change depending on inspection conditions.

5. Additional Information

During the inspection, all rooms and dormitory facilities will be accessed. Fire shutters may be lowered and fire alarms may sound. We kindly ask for your understanding regarding any inconvenience caused.

If residents are absent during room inspections, inspectors may enter rooms using a master key without prior notice. If necessary, locked rooms will also be accessed for inspection purposes. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
