1. Refund Application


A. Refund Application


1) Students must apply for a refund before moving out.


2) Go to: Ajou University Portal > Academic Affairs Information > Application for Student Living > Refund Request


*Refund amounts are as follows (based on your move-in/out date):

 • Within 4 weeks: 75% refund

 • Within 8 weeks: 50% refund

 • Within 12 weeks: 25% refund

 (For exact dates and amounts, please refer to the ‘Early Leaving & Withdrawal’ menu.)


3) For vacation periods: 50% refund based on 1 day after the seasonal session ends

 (Refer to the ‘Mid-Semester Move-In/Out Refund Table’ for details.)


4) Refund processing may take 2–3 weeks from the actual move-out date.



B. Submission of Mid-Semester Withdrawal Confirmation Form


1)After removing all belongings from the room, visit the dormitory office and fill out the Mid-Semester Withdrawal Confirmation Form (available on-site).


2)Recommended move-out time: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

 ※ Move-out is strictly not allowed after 10:00 PM

 ※ Move-out is not allowed during staff meal times: 11:30–12:30 / 17:30–18:30



C. Important Notes for Moving Out


1) Room Cleaning: Make sure no personal belongings are left behind.

 • Dispose of any trash or unwanted items in the hallway trash bins.


2) Immediate Disposal:

 • Any items left in the room will be considered unusable and will be discarded immediately.



2. End-of-Semester Move-Out


A. No Refund Application Required


1) During the final 4 weeks of the 16-week semester, no refund will be issued, so students only need to submit the move-out confirmation form.



B. Submission of Move-Out Confirmation Form


1) After removing all belongings from your room, complete the Move-Out Confirmation Form available at the inspector office and submit it before leaving.


2) Recommended move-out time: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

 ※ Move-out is strictly not allowed after 10:00 PM

 ※ Move-out is not allowed during staff meal times: 11:30–12:30 / 17:30–18:30



C. Important Notes for Moving Out

D. Staying in the Same Room  


1) Students who are staying continuously (e.g., from semester to vacation or vacation to semester) and have been assigned to the same room may continue staying without moving out.

 ※ However, room continuity may not be possible due to school policies or dormitory operations.


2) Changes in student status (e.g., undergraduate to graduate) do not affect eligibility to remain in the room.



E. Room Change


1) Students who are staying continuously but have been assigned to a different room must move to the new room on the designated Room Change Day (the day after the move-out date) and may continue their stay afterward.


2) Changes in student status (e.g., undergraduate to graduate) do not affect room change procedures.
