DORMITORY APPLICATION FOR WINTER SEMESTER 2024
2024학년도 겨울학기 기숙사 신청
Ajou dormitory is informing of the dormitory application notice for 2024 Winter semester.
Dormitory selection is based on a first-come, first-served application basis.
2024학년도 겨울학기 기숙사 신청안내입니다. 기숙사 선발은 선착순으로 이루어집니다.
1. OPERATION PERIOD OF THE DORMITORY FOR THE WINTER SEMESTER OF YEAR 2024: 28 Dec. 2024 (Sat) ~ 17 Fed. 2025 (Mon)
겨울학기 기숙사 운영기간: 2024.12.28(토) ~2025.02.17(월)
Ajou dormitory will not accept early move in and late move out, you cannot request to put your stuff before you move in. 기숙사에 조기입사와 늦은 퇴사는 불가하며, 입사전에 짐을 기숙사에 보관할 수 없습니다.

3. NOTES FOR APPLICATION (신청시유의사항)
1) All buildings have the same application date. 기숙사의 모든 건물과 타입은 같은 일정으로 이루어집니다.
2) Dormitory selection is based on a first-come, first-served application basis. 기숙사는 선착순으로 선발됩니다,
3) After applications-> announcement of selection results -> room selection-> payment, If there are remaining vacancies, additional applications will be processed. 신청->선발발표->호실선택->기숙사비 납부 후에 잔여석이 있을 경우 추가신청이 진행됩니다.
4) Students who have already been selected cannot participate in the additional application. You should carefully choose the building and type when applying. 이미 선발된 학생은 추가신청에 참여할수 없으므로 건물과 타입을 신청하게 선택하세요.
5) Even if you select the option to stay in the same room staying now during the additional application, it will not be reflected, and room assignments will be made based on remaining vacancies. 추가신청에서는 현재 거주하는 방을 유지할수 없으며, 잔여석에 배정됩니다.
6) If you apply for the same type of building for the winter semester, you will be allocated to the same room you lived in during the fall semester. Therefore, don't worry if you can't check the box indicating that you want to keep the room as it is when you apply. 겨울학기에 같은 유형의 건물을 신청하면 가을학기에 살던 방과 같은방으로 배정됩니다. 따라서 신청시 방을 그대로 유지하고 싶다는 체크박스가 활성화되지 않더라도 걱정하지 마세요.
And if you wish to stay in a different room for the winter semester, you can select your room through the Ajou portal system on 9~10 DEC.(The instructions will be posted on the website notice later, so please check it after you have been selected for the dormitory.) 그리고 겨울학기에 다른 방에 거주하고싶다면 12월 9일~10일 기간동안 아주포털에서 호실선택을 하면됩니다.(호실선택방법에 대한 안내문은 추후 홈페이지에 게시될 예정이니 기숙사 합격후 확인하시기 바랍니다.)
7) Don't transfer dormitory fee from abroad. 해외에서 기숙사비를 이체하지 마세요
The exact amount will not be remitted due to the remittance fee or exchange rate change.
송금수수료 또는 환율 변동으로 인해 정확한 금액이 송금되지 않습니다.
4. CRITERIA OF APPLICANT (신청대상):
Enrolled Undergraduate, Graduate Students, Exchange Student, CIE students for Korean programs.
학부생, 대학원생, 교환학생, 한국어과정 국제교육센터 학생
1) If you are an undergraduate student who completes the course work or a special graduate student, you are not eligible to apply for the dormitory. 학부수료생과 특수대학원생인 경우 기숙사 신청자격이 없습니다.
2) If you are a student on a leave of absence and planning to return to school in spring semester 2025, you are eligible to apply for winter semester 2024. 현재 휴학중이지만,2025년 1학기 복학 예정자는 2024년 겨울학기에 신청할수 있습니다.
3) If you are going to apply for the Korean Programs in Ajou university, you can stay in the Ajou university after confirmation from the CIE officer. 국제교육센터 한국어프로그램에 지원예정이라면, CIE 담당자의 확인을 거쳐 신청할수있습니다.
4) If you are a graduate student who completed the course work, you can ONLY apply to the dormitory when you submit the below documents. 대학원수료생은 아래 서류를 제출해야합니다.
- Statement of Supervisor 1 copy (download the attached form) 지도교수확인서1부
- Completion certificate 1 copy 수료생등록 확인서
* You can only stay in the dormitory up to 6 semesters from the completion date of coursework, if there are enough rooms in the dormitory 수료생은 최대6학기까지만 기숙사에 거주할수있습니다.
* If there are no enough capacityin the dormitory, your application will not be approved even though you submit all required documents. 기숙사에 수용인원이 부족하면 서류를 제출했어도 승인되지 않습니다.
5.APPLICANT ROUTE (신청경로):
1) For Enrolled Undergraduate, Graduate Students 학부생, 대학원생
Step 1. Access to Ajou portal https://mportal.ajou.ac.kr/main.do
Step 2. Click "로그인하세요(Log in)" Top right of the page
Step 3.Change language into English - it is bottom of the page
Step 4. Click "(New)Academic Affairs Information (학사서비스)"
Step 5. Click "Application for Student living"+
Step 6. Click "Dormitory Application" (Left side of the page)
For resident who wants to stay in the same room of fall semester 2024,you need to tick the question “I PREFER TO STAY IN THE SAME ROOM STAYING NOW”,when you apply for the dormitory in Ajou portal.
2024년 가을학기와 같은방에 거주하고 싶다면 아주포털에서 기숙사를 신청할때 '호실유지여부'탭을 선택해야 합니다.
2) New Graduate student, Enrolled Exchange Students: 신입생, 교환학생
Log in at the online housing application system

After log in to the above website, please select the relevant option in blue box

7. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS BEFORE MOVE IN (입사전 제출서류)
1) Due date of document submission: 28 DECEMBER 2024 (SAT)
서류제출기한: 2024년12월28일
2) Tuberculosis test (결핵검사)
a. Before moving into the dormitory,all residents should submit the result of a Tuberculosis (TB) test.
If you have done the tuberculosis test, please do the test in advance before you move in. 기숙사 입사전 모든 학생은 결핵검사결과지를 제출해야합니다. 입사전 미리 검사해주세요.
b. If your tuberculosis test has expired from 28 DEC. 2024,you must submit a new TB test result to the dormitory office.The tuberculosis check result should be updated every year because it is valid for 1 year. 결핵검사가 2024년 12월28일기준으로 1년이 만료된 경우 새롭게 결핵검사결과지를 제출해야합니다.
c. The result sheet must show either normal or abnormal of TB in English or Korean. 결과지에는 영어 혹은 한국어로 결핵의 정상 또는 비정상이 표시되어야 합니다.
d. Submit viaGOOGLE FORM(Submission route of google form will be uploaded in the notice board separately, please see another notice) 구글폼을 통해 제출해주세요(구글양식제출경로는 선발발표이후에 추후 홈페이지 게시글에 업로드할 예정입니다. 공지사항을 참조해주세요)
3) STATEMENT OF SUPERVISOR, COMPLETION CERTIFICATEfor a graduate student who completed the course works 수료생은 지도교수확인서, 수료확인서 제출
a. Please submit two copies via GOOGLE FORM 구글폼을 통해 제출하세요
b. You need to combine the above copies to One PDFfile 위의 사본을 하나의 PDF 파일로 결합해서 제출
4) SUBMISSION ROUTE (서류제출경로)
All required documents need to be submitted to GOOGLE FORM by due date (28 DEC. 2024).
Link of the“GOOGLE FORM” for submission will be uploaded in the notice board later,
please check the upcoming notice. 모든 제출서류는 기한(2024년 12월28일)까지 구글폼에 제출해야합니다. 제출을 위한 구글폼링크는 추후에 게시판에 업로드될 예정입니다. 곧 발표될 공지를 확인해주시기 바랍니다.
8. DORMITORY FEE REFUND BEFORE MOVE IN DATE
(입사신청취소및입사비환불)
1)(가을학기입사자) If you are a student who stayed for the Fall Semester 2024only, you have to move out from the dormitory by 22 DEC. (MON)and request for withdrawal of the dormitory application to the dormitory coordinator, then full amount of dormitory fee will be refunded.
2)(가을학기미입사자)If you did not stay in the dormitory for the Fall semester 2024, you have to request for the withdrawal of dormitory application to the dormitory coordinatorby 27 DEC. (Fri).
Then the full amount of the dormitory fee will be refunded.
3)To get a dormitory fee refund, you must have a bank account in Korea. We do not give a refund to the bank account overseas.
9. MOVE IN PROCEDURE (입사절차)
Press door bell at the gate > Bring along your student ID card > Report to the inspector of each building > Move in
